Opportunity to join a leading Oil and Gas Operator based in Dublin, Ireland. Required to provide Petro physical expertise to the Exploration and PandD Groups by processing, analysing and interpreting geological data acquired in wells, in order to perform formation evaluation tasks with respect to wells in which Client has an interest.Responsibilities:
- To process and interpret electric log data collected by the logging contractor, in cooperation with the Exploration team and under the direction of his/her supervisor.
- To carry out quantitative evaluation of hydrocarbon zones, to determine Petro physical parameters (porosity, water saturation and salinity, pay thickness).
- To carry out computerised analysis (C.P.I.) of log data, in cooperation with the Exploration team and under the direction of his/her supervisor.
- To carry out Well Test interpretations for the Exploration Department.
- To monitor technically the work performed by logging and core analysis contractor in relation with operated wells.
- To monitor partners' operations with respect to Log Acquisition, Core Analysis and Petro physical Interpretation. The job holder will ideally have:
Degree: Masters or PhD
Major: Geophysics / Physics / Mathematics / Engineering
The ideal person will have at least 8+ years experience of working for an operator, consultancy or service company in the oil and gas sector. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
