Change Internationals client, a leading provider of Subsea Construction services to the Oil Industry globally now requires a Master to join one of their state of the art Pipleay vessels around the 25th August. The Vessel is currently operating in the North Sea but is expected to commence a new project in Brazil in October 2010. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading subsea construction firm and further develop your career with excellent progression opportunities. As Master your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the vessel is operating in a safe and efficient manner. Additional responsibilities will include: - Oversee ships handling when in DP Mode
- Navigating the vessel in between work sites and in and out of port
- Testing of DP and Bridge equipment as required
- Working closely with the Chief Engineer to troubleshoot if needs be
- Mentoring Junior DPO’s and assigning work to the crew
- Ensuring that personnel are inducted onto the vessel
- Ensuring that seafarers hold correct certification
- Completing company and client paperwork Requirements: - Masters Unlimited COC
- DP Unlimited
- Offshore Survival / Medical
- Experience as Master / Captain onboard a Pipelay Vessel
- Able to join on August 25th
- Able to work to a 5 weeks on / off rotation
- Able to work initially in the North Sea then in Brazil In return our client is offering: - £7000 per month base salary
