PROJECT MANAGER – OFFSHORE EXPERIENCE - FRANCEWRS are very pleased to be working in conjunction with one of the leading contractors in the Offshore Industry. We are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience working in the Offshore Industry to join their Swivels & Mechanical Parts Department and be based in the South of France. Within this role the successful candidate will reports to the SMP Project Management Manager (Dept) and to the Turret Project Manager (Proj) and will be responsible for the supervision of Project/Package Engineers. Main Responsibilities of the role: You will be the overall manager of one major swivel stack package and possibly several smaller packages, supervising one or two project engineers to ensure safe, timely, efficient and profitable delivery of the swivel stack, with due consideration to the quality level of both the product itself and its documentation. You will provide manufacturability input to engineering (i.e. be the link between fabricator and engineering) You will be the Project Management authority for the projects allocated to your team seeking advice from relevant department managers when needed. You will provide supervision and hands on training of the project engineers in your team. Ensuring allocated projects are executed in accordance with relevant Client Specifications / Contract Requirements. You will be the Commercial and contractual focal point to the Client. You will define the procurement workload for the projects within his team on a weekly basis and ensuring that procurement tasks and document control tasks of his team’s projects are obtaining adequate priorities. You will be the holder of the budget with its associated reporting (progress, status and areas of concern) to department manager and project team. You will provide support for the cost estimating of swivel stacks JOB REQUIREMENTS • University degree (preferably in mechanical engineering) • At least 7 years experience in the offshore EPC industry • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills – able to lead and motivate a small team • Customer orientation • Influencing / leadership skills • Commercial and contractual astuteness • Availability to travel per project-specific needs SALARY & BENEFITS CANDIDATES MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE EU CURRENTLY – SPONSORSHIP WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY MY CLIENT.
